Playdoh is everywhere!

Seriously. I find it on the floor, on the table, in the living room, on the bottom of my shoe, inside various cooking utensils (the most annoying has been the garlic press, which has tiny, tiny holes). Here's why it's everywhere:

I work in a place where the phones ring every once in a while. And thanks to my child, who is a Nickelodeon addict, about half the time when the phone rings a line goes through my head. Want to guess what it is?

New Blog address

I spent the last year teaching public school and working at Domino's. I was non-renewed at the end of the school year and have been looking for another job since. I wanted to move out of the area and go somewhere else, but my son likes our neighborhood and his preschool plus he is finally potty-trained. I don't want to jeopardize that!

Just discovered that it's possible to make money doing online editing, which I could do from home so I am looking into that because that would be ideal. If I don't find a teaching job, then I can hopefully find an EA job and make money writing/editing from home.

The boy is huge. He is over 3 feel tall and just amazing. He is rarely still from the time he wakes up until he goes to sleep at night. Makes me tired just watching him.

I am still working food-service part-time. It has been very slow so I'm not working much. Plus I am sick of it. Wonder how much money I could make developing press-kits for musicians or testing products and writing reviews???

I did it!

I finished all my teacher certification stuff and I am so close to being certified and done. Now if only someone could hire me so I could quit food service, but how would I talk to Joey?
Honestly, Domino's is occasionally my only contact with people other than my family. Isn't that sad? When I quit, I'll have a teaching job and contact with lots of people, which is good. I like people. Plus being the 24 hour caregiver to my 2 year old would suck. He's great some of the time, but not all of the time.
Speaking of the boy, the latest People has this story in it about these two women who met because their sons were killed on Mother's Day. One was in Afghanistan and the other was in Iraq. That was the saddest article ever. Not only do they have the women talking about what their sons were like, but they have pictures of them as little boys and then these sweet little boys went off to war. I cried over that piece.

Haven't been here in forever. I normally post over on my MySpace blog, which I know is lame, but anyway.
Quincy is now 2 years old and so so big and he talks--in full sentences sometimes.
I still work at Domino's, which I am beginning to loath. I generally have a good time there, but sometimes my co-workers make it seem like hell.
I am in school now at MTSU pursuing my teacher certification. If all goes well, I should be finished in May of 2007 and able to teach full time by fall of 2007. Yeah! I am so proud of me, but it is very hard. Homework is hard with a toddler.
